    In stop #2 of the Fitness 4 Surfers Caribbean tour, Puerto Rican trainer, Victor Tort, finds an enthusiastic group of surfers eager to improve their surfing skills by improving their physical fitness and a better understanding of what makes the ideal training regimen for high performance surfing.

    Sporting a healthy energy and passion for exercise, Victor Tort continued his Fitness 4 Surfers tour through thr Caribbean, collaborating on this stop with the Jamaican Surfing Association.  Over 20 surfers of all ages took part in this activity which went down at the Jamnesia Surf Club located in Bull Bay, Kingston, Jamaica, and was directed by Jamaican Surfing Association President, Billy Wilmot.  With the participation of surfers of all skills and levels, Victor had the opportunity to present exercise routines and demonstrate specific workouts with a variety of equipment including the Indo Board, Bosu Ball, and the TRX, and above all create a conscoiusness of the importance of stretching before hitting the waves.

    “I’m very happy to have seen my objective appreciated and taken seriously by the Jamaicans,” said Victor.  “It was a pleasure to work with all the jamaican participants.  They were totally amped and very hungry to learn.  I want to thank Billy, Maggie, Icah, Inilek, Ivah, and all the guys and gals that were present.  I appreciate greatly the support they provided and for having opened the doors of their home to me so that my project could be realized on their island.”

    Jamaican surf pro, Icah Wilmot, demonstrated great surfing talent as well as impressive diligence and discipline in his physical training.  As a result of his visit, Victor will be part of the Jamaican Surfing Association’s team and will be in charge of the physical preparation of Team Jamaica for the Makka Pro surf contest to he held in Jamaica in July of 2010.
