For lots of surfers here in the Caribbean summer means flatness at home.  Jamiaca has the good fortune to enjoy surf all year long, and summer is one of the most consistent seasons on the region’s most irie isle.

Surf Caribe continues it’s eight-part series of galleries featuring the best images from this past season with a selection of photos from the month of October 2009.

The 2009/2010 winter surf season here in the Caribbean was without doubt one for the record books.

While some places in the Caribbean enjoy more consistent surf year round, here in the Greater Antilles were pretty much write things off come May.

  VIDEOS

By Green Bottles Productions

Len Helbig and Green Bottles Productions bring is this intense clip of A-List Feature subject Pedro Fernandez at home in the Dom. Rep.

By Connor Hughes

SVA Seminar student, Connor Hughes, spliced together this video so that everybody who participated in the workshop with Art Brewer could re-live the experience over and over again.

Producciones Barracas and Pichón Duarte brings us this splice of hot surfing during the historic '09/'10 winter by Rincón local Gabriel Canals charging waves close to home and having his way.

In the wake of Puerto Rico's recent earthquake we found it ironic to come across this video alluding to the great danger we all unknowingly accept by living on this rock and within a stone's throw of the ocean.

Taking place between the latitudinal lines of the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn, Reef's new movie documents the search for perfect surf and new cultural experiences on the path of the modern gypsy.
